Why do we at Sevens Nutrition use PET packaging for our supplements?
Because when it comes to taking care of your health, it's not just what's inside the bottle that matters. It's also how it's stored, how it's transported, and what materials come into contact with the product. And PET, backed by science and regulations, is our conscious choice.
🔬 What is PET?
PET, or polyethylene terephthalate , is a highly safe, transparent, light and resistant type of plastic.
Unlike other plastics:
-
It does not require BPA for its manufacture.
-
It does not contain phthalates , nor are any heavy metals added.
-
It remains chemically stable even in contact with food or dietary supplements.
It is not just another plastic, but one of the most studied and used in the food industry due to its excellent resistance to substance migration .
Is it safe? This is what science says.
At Sevens, we only work with food-grade PET containers, the same ones used in the food and pharmaceutical industries. These containers have been extensively tested by:
-
EFSA (European Food Safety Authority)
-
FDA (U.S. Food and Drug Administration)
-
And health regulatory bodies around the world.
Studies show that, under normal conditions of use (storage at room temperature, without extreme exposure to heat or sunlight), the migration of substances from PET is negligible or nonexistent . This is well below any legal limit.
What does PET NOT contain?
Unlike other materials, PET does not require the addition of :
-
BPA (bisphenol A) : an endocrine disruptor already restricted in Europe.
-
Phthalates : plasticizers used in plastics such as PVC.
-
Aluminum or heavy metals : common in metal containers or sealing varnishes.
Therefore, our packaging does not release unwanted substances or alter the quality of the product it protects.
Safety + sustainability
We also chose PET because of its low environmental impact:
-
It is 100% recyclable and is an active part of the circular economy.
-
Its lightness helps reduce CO₂ emissions during transport.
-
Its production requires less energy than glass or aluminum.
Taking care of your health also means taking care of the environment. And at Sevens Nutrition, we're clear about this: packaging must protect both the product and the planet .
In short: why PET?
-
Because it does not contain BPA, phthalates or heavy metals .
-
Because it is scientifically endorsed by European and international authorities.
-
Because it protects your supplement without altering its composition.
-
Because it is light, resistant, recyclable and responsible .
